Alibaba launches AliExpress Leisure, a new entertainment focused platform
The e-commerce giant Alibaba has not stopped growing and expanding since its foundation, and much of its success is thanks to AliExpress, the best known brand of this Chinese private consortium.
The latest figures released by the company show overwhelming data. AliExpress currently has more than one billion products for sale and about 675 million active consumers.
The growth strategy is to diversify its offer, and the next step is the launch of “AliExpress Leisure” (known as AliExpress OCIO in Spanish), a new platform that puts the company fully into the entertainment market, offering a wide range of cultural products and services that includes from the sale of tickets for all kinds of events and shows, to guided tours in museums, gastronomic experiences, amusement parks, or to benefit from special promotions.
This initiative of AliExpress Leisure, a pioneer worldwide, will also be present in Spain, since the brand has traditionally opted for the Spanish market where it has always obtained very good results. Currently, Spain is the third most important market for the company outside of China.
Companies that are part of this new platform can benefit from the advantages that the company offers to its affiliated sellers, with the aim of encouraging show promoters to sell their tickets on the platform. The initiative AliExpress Leisure has already been joined by several well-known companies in the industry as Roller Coaster Group, Locker, Minube, Disorder Events, Planet Events, Travel Queen or Elektrik.
